FAQ

I'm Bekka — I built asymptotically.me because I love Notion but wanted to do more with it. I spend a lot of time making systems for myself and I want to share them.

Why do I need to connect Notion?

I was originally building all this for myself and I wanted to share it but for a lot of functionality it requires access to pages or data from your Notion. I've set the data I collect to make it as easy as possible to use any of my widgets or templates once you connect once.

I ask for read/write access because some of the templates/widgets need this. This means that my site has access to whichever Notion pages you select in the Notion permissions. I promise this connection is only used to make your things function, and nothing nefarious because I'm a good person

The data is in a private database. If you ever want your data deleted, you can revoke Notion access from your Notion connected integrations settings.

How do I add a widget to Notion?
For all of the simple widgets, you can open the editor to customise your widget and then copy the embed URL. In Notion, type /embed and paste the URL. Within Notion, the widget settings are based on the from the URL. If you ever want to change a widget setup, come back to the editor and start fresh - or if you're ready for a challenge you could try and play with the URL parameters
Do they work on mobile?
Yes. I have tried to make the widgets so that they look good on mobile too. If you notice any issues, please let me know!
Can I request a widget/template?
Yes please! I can't promise I'll be able to build it, but ideas are always welcome.
